Welcome To The Official Site Of
The American Lancashire Heeler Club

Although the Lancashire Heeler is listed in the Pastoral Group in the Kennel Club, U.K., (the equivalent of the AKC Herding group) they are very similar to terriers in temperament. These feisty little dogs are very energetic and eager to learn. They are sturdy and strong and possess unusual stamina for such a small breed. They can be found today working herds on English farms, competing in obedience and agility, and serving as handicap assistance dogs, although they are primarily a companion dog. Lancashire Heelers are devoted and loving to their families and should be taken seriously as a watch dog. Lively and confident, they are sure to capture the hearts of all who get to know them.
