The American Lancashire Heeler Club was founded in 2001, to promote Lancashire Heelers in the United States. The Club is dedicated to the preservation and wellbeing of the Lancashire Heeler and to the future recognition of the breed by The American Kennel Club.

Currently, there are only a small number of registered Lancashire Heelers known to be residing in the United States, and a few breeders. Given the small number, the objectives of this organization are as follows:

  • Familarize dog lovers nationwide with this delightful breed.
  • Promote the importation of quality dogs into the U.S.
  • Serve as an educational resource for those interested in learning more about Lancashire Heelers.
  • Maintain accurate pedigree and ownership records.
  • Encourage responsible breeding adhering to established breed standards.
  • Provide rescue services to Heelers in need.
  • Strive for AKC recognition of the breed.
